Project: Connecting Alto, Property Portals, and Agency Marketing into a Single Platform

Everstone Property Partners were operating a website provisioned via Alto’s standard theming system.

While this allowed basic property listings to be displayed, the platform was not optimised for:

  • Search engine visibility
  • Performance or mobile responsiveness
  • Ongoing content updates
  • Design or branding changes
  • Integration with agency marketing materials

As a result, the website functioned primarily as a passive listings feed rather than an effective marketing or conversion platform.

Properties were already managed internally via Alto and distributed to listing portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla as part of the agency’s standard workflow. However, improving the website experience without introducing additional administrative overhead presented a constraint, as any replacement platform would still need to reflect live listing data from Alto.

The agency required a solution that would allow a fully redeveloped website to operate independently of Alto’s theming layer, while continuing to surface live property listings from the same tenancy management system.

Approach

In Check Software redeveloped the Everstone website and implemented a custom integration with Alto’s API layer.

This integration allows property data created or updated within Alto to be synchronised directly to the public website automatically. Properties distributed to listing portals via Alto are now surfaced on the Everstone website using the same underlying dataset, with Alto retained as the single source of truth for listing information.

In addition to listing synchronisation, a shared document-generation layer was introduced within the same deployment platform.

This enables:

  • Agency brochures
  • Property marketing packs
  • Landlord-facing documentation

to be generated automatically using:

  • Live listing data sourced from Alto
  • Consistent typography and layout
  • Website-aligned branding and styling

Marketing materials can now be produced on demand without requiring separate document tooling or manual formatting.

Outcome

Following implementation, Everstone Property Partners were able to:

  • Replace Alto’s default themed website
  • Improve performance and search visibility
  • Eliminate manual updates to website property listings
  • Reduce duplicated data entry across systems
  • Maintain consistency between portal and website content
  • Generate branded agency and property brochures automatically
  • Continue operating Alto as the single source of truth for tenancy and listing information

The website now functions as an operational extension of the agency’s existing property management platform, rather than a standalone marketing site requiring ongoing manual maintenance.
